Serving Boys and Girls in Grades K-5
Pack 30 gets kids outside and hands-on! Hiking, crafts, survival skills, pinewood derby cars, and everything in between. Along the way, scouts build real skills, earn badges for what they accomplish, and make friends across grades.
Meetings happen every other week, and every activity is built for the age group doing it, so there's something for the whole family.
No experience needed! Come try a meeting and bring the whole family.

Meetings mix hands-on projects with outdoor time. Recent meetings have covered cooking and nutrition, recycling and earth science, and nature hikes with plant identification. A few times a year the whole pack comes together for bigger events like the Pinewood Derby. We tailor activities by age group, so our younger and older scouts each get something different on the same topic.
We meet every other Monday from 6:00–7:30 p.m. at the Lion's Club on 1 Wheeler Road. Check our calendar below for exact dates.
The youth national registration fee is $165. Our pack does not currently charge unit dues. We also run a fall popcorn fundraiser that helps cover pack activities throughout the year.
Most importantly, no child will be denied participation in our Pack because of an inability to pay dues. Payment plans, scholarships, and other options exist for families with extenuating circumstances. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to explore these options and rest assured that the strictest confidentiality will be maintained regarding financial matters.
Not on day one! You'll have time to get set up. When you're ready, our Uniform Guide walks through exactly what to buy and where.
Yes! Cub Scouts is a great fit any time of year, not just at the start of the school year. New scouts can jump in at the next meeting.
Your child will just start off at the appropriate den based on their grade level. They don't need to earn previous ranks.
Cub Scouts is grade-specific, so your child joins a den with other kids in similar grades. We currently have two dens, one for K-2 and another for 3-5. Friends are always welcome to come try a meeting!
Yes! Pack 30 is a Family Pack, which means our dens are open to both girls and boys in grades K–5, including siblings, so multiple kids in the same family can scout together in their own age-appropriate dens.
No. Pack 30 is chartered by the Cape Elizabeth Lions Club, a non-denominational civic organization, and our pack activities are secular and inclusive. Any faith-based Scouting requirements are left to families to address at home.
